Mariana Tassinari was born in Sao Paulo, 1980, where she lives and works today. In 2005 she graduated in Fine Arts at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado and before that she went to architecture school for two years at Mackenzie University. She worked as an assistant photographer for Inaê Coutinho in 2004 and for Marcia Xavier in 2009. In 2005 she participated in the group show 37a Anual de Arte FAAP. Two years after that was part of the photography group show Arte em Dobro, curated by Nessia Leonzini at Galeria Arte em Dobro, Rio de Janeiro. In 2009 became part of the project Galeria Motor, a virtual gallery hosted at Submarino website. In 2010 she was invited to the project Sesc Vitrine at Sesc Santana, São Paulo, where she developed the work Cinema Horizontal. Between the years of 2010 and 2011 she was part of the following group shows: Photoimpressões, curated by Oswaldo Corrêa da Costa; Mediações, Galeria Motor, curated by Mario Gioia; 13a Semana de Fotografia de Ribeirão Preto, Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto Pedro Manuel-Gismondi, and Pop Up exhibition, Galeria Motor, Rio de Janeiro; Proposição, curated by Daniela Labra, Galeria Luciana Caravello, RJ; 62º Salão de Abril, Fortaleza; Urbano Avesso, Galeria Luciana Caravello, RJ; Design SP, where she designed a special set of furniture for Galeria Mendes Wood, OCA, SP; Território de Caça, curated by Mario Gioia, Galeria Zipper, SP; Temporada de Projetos, Paço das Artes, SP. In 2012 she participated of two exhibitions at Galeria Zipper, SP: Projeto Zip Up, where she held a solo show named Requadros and the group show Imagem Migrante, both curated by Mario Gioia. In 2013 she was part of the group show Acervo Geral, Galeria Luciana Caravello, Rio de Janeiro. Between the years of 2010 and 2012 she collaborated with the fashion brand Garoa, designing special prints for woman's clothing.
